Establishment Of Allahabad
University: Allahabad
University has always occupied an esteemed place among the universities of
India for over a century now. Established on 23rd September 1887, it is the
fourth oldest university of India after Calcutta, Bombay and Madras
University.The credit for conceiving a large Central College at Allahabad,
eventually to develop into a University, is due to Sir William Muir, then Lt.
Governor of United Provinces. As a result of his initiative the foundation
stone of the Muir Central College (named after him) was laid on Dec. 9 1873 by
His Excellency Lord North brook. Sir William Muir said on that occasion:
"The establishment of a central college at Allahabad
has been my earnest desire ever since I assumed my present office.
M.Ed Course Detail :- Many Courses Offered by Allahabad University to
the eligible Candidates & M.Ed full name Master Of Education for the

Application Fee : Application Fees may be deposited at any
branch of H.D.F.C Bank Ltd. For General & OBC it will be Rs 800/-
and for SC / ST & PH Candidates RS. 400/- by Challan. The Challan may be downloaded from official web portal of University
of Allahabad. For detail see official notification.
Educational
Qualification:- The appliers who want to have admission in
M.Ed. programme should achieve at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in
B.Ed.
Note :- The Reservation will be applicable as per rules and
relaxation for S.C./S.T./O.B.C./P.W.D. and other applicable categories shall be
as per rules of Central Government.
qualifying relaxation marks
for SC/ST/OBC/PWD will be 5% for & Gen.
candidates should obtain 50% or more.
